We're celebrating our 6th anniversary in business and extending a special offer to all our amazing Malicious misfits.  If you haven't yet read my "About Me" section on my website, the Shit Show label holds a special place in my heart as it marks the very beginning of my journey. It all started with this design, and in my story, you can learn about the inspiration behind hosting a Shit Show, where the name Malicious Women Candle Co emerged and how this transformed from a hobby in aiding my grief healing, to where we are today.

I am continually in a state of disbelief when I look around our warehouse and see how we have grown. We are able to offer fair and livable wages, excellent and affordable health care and a matching 401K to over 23 employees. Most of the women that work here never had their own retirement accounts, something that Laura was passionate about- women saving their own money and not depending on a partner for retirement. My father (also part of my story) encouraged me to save 10% of my income for retirement since I was 19 years old. He never wanted me to be dependent on a man. He always said you should be with a man because you WANT to be, not because you HAVE to be. I am so proud to be able to match MWCC employees’ contributions and I can only do that because of your support and continued orders.

My mission has always been to infuse genuine emotions into my candles, empowering individuals to metaphorically set their shit on fire and let that shit go.  This is the first label I ever made. I designed my own logo in PowerPoint (curve text function) and chose the font (Typewrite) to honor my dear friend who lost her battle with depression. She loved old books and typewriters. I added a Chandelier to my Logo because the last time I saw Laura we sang Sia’s Chandelier song at the top of our lungs. Every part of this label has meaning. To this day I still donate a portion of every candle to The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Laura’s name.

Please accept my sincere gratitude for allowing me to continue making candles that make a difference.
